E-Coupons

In our area, the only store that honors e-coupons is Kroger!
1. Get a Kroger Plus Card
All you have to do is go to customer service and fill out the form to receive your Kroger Plus Card.  You can use it to save money on your groceries as well as get the 10 cents off per gallon of gas for every 100 points you get on your Kroger Plus Card.  Even if you go buy one item that you do not have a coupon for or is not on sale, swipe the card anyway, just to add points to your card!  Every prescription you fill at Kroger will put 50 points on your card.  Just make sure you have them scan it!
2.  Make an account at http://www.kroger.com/
From there you can pick your preferred store, see current weekly ads, and load digital coupons to your Kroger plus card.  Kroger has the option to print out a list of the coupons you saved onto your card so you know what you have.  You can have up to 150 coupons on your card at one time.  Check back often because the e-coupons do expire and there are new coupons added to the Kroger e-coupon bank monthly.
3.  Make accounts at other e-coupon sites
You can load other e-coupons to your Kroger Plus Card from these sites: http://www.cellfire.com/, http://www.shortcuts.com/, and http://www.pgesaver.com/.
4.  How do I use them?
Use these just like regular coupons!  Say you have an e-coupon on your card for $0.50 off 2 boxes of Pop-Tarts.  When you buy 2 boxes of Pop Tarts at Kroger and your card is scanned, the e-coupon is automatically applied to your purchase!  Unlike paper coupons $0.50 and less (which double at checkout), the e-coupons will not double!  If you have the same offer loaded to your card from Kroger, Cellfire, and Shortcuts and you buy 6 boxes of Pop Tarts, all three $0.50 off e-coupons will apply.  So, make sure you load as many e-coupons to your card as you can!
5. Can I use them in conjunction with paper coupons?
Yes you can!  The e-coupons will be deducted from your grocery bill when the Kroger Plus savings are applied.  The cashier does not know what coupons have come off, so you can use paper coupons as well.  For instance, I bought 6 boxes of Pop Tarts and I have 3 paper coupons (from newspaper or online printables) that are $0.50 off 2 boxes of Pop Tarts.  Say each box is on sale for $1.89 each.  Before coupons my Pop Tarts would be $11.34, after the e-coupons were applied, my Pop Tarts were $9.84.  Since my paper coupons were $0.50 off 2, and Kroger doubles any coupon $0.50 or less, I am saving $1 for every 2 boxes I buy.  Now my total for my Pop Tarts is $6.84.  In a Kroger Flyer I found a store coupon for $0.75 off 3 boxes of Pop Tarts.  My mom got the same flyer in the mail and gave me her Pop Tart coupon, so I use both store coupons and once applied I save yet another $1.50, making my final total for 6 boxes of Pop Tarts, $5.34, which comes out to $0.89 a box!
So, saying all that, e-coupons are valuable to have so make sure you get them, know what you have, and use them!
