Third Rule of Couponing

Don't be picky!!

Ok, so you like the smell of Tide and will only use Charmin.  That's ok if you don't mind spending a lot of money!  Like I said in rule number 1, to save the maximum amount of money, you've got to shop according to what is on sale!  Go through the grocery store ads, see what is on sale, and find coupons that go with the sale items.

I admit, Tide is my favorite laundry detergent.  It was "on sale" this week for $17.99 at Kroger and I had a coupon for $1 off! $16.99 is a lot to pay!  But, at Publix, the All detergent was on sale for $3.50 a bottle and Wisk was on sale for $4.49!  I had 3 $1 off coupons for the All detergent and 1 $2 off Wisk coupon, so I bought 4 bottles of laundry detergent for $9.99!  It wasn't Tide, but it's laundry detergent, and I saved at least $6!  Plus I can wash more loads with what I bought than I could if I bought the Tide!

So, save being picky for how you order your pizza, but not grocery shopping!

Happy Couponing!
